A Quiet Breath

i wished life wouldnt play such stupid tricks on people.

two days ago, my hair clip miraculously disappeared from my table, and thinking that it would eventually reappear after a day or two (like most missing things do) i gave up looking for it and decided to do without it first.

so for the past two days, i suffered the aftermath of not having my hair clip - my hair was falling all over my face and was perpetually messy no matter how i tried to tidy it. so this evening, i decided that i should not wait any longer and headed straight to the hair accessory shop right after work.

and just when i was about to purchase that small little black clip, i dug my hand inside my bag, and realised that i left my purse in my jacket at work. to my dismay, i made a detour to the nearest atm, and found out that the minimum withdrawal was $200! (mind you, it's not $20!) so i had to make a even bigger detour to the second nearest atm, and the queue was disgustingly long. but hell, i needed my clip so i had to stick my hand in the mud.

at 8.20pm, after all that trouble, i finally got my cash and my clip and i headed home half-starved.

and just when i switched on the lights, there it was - my good old hair clip on the table.
