an hour ago, i realised that my thumb-drive has abandoned me / eloped with another guy, and taken away my precious group project with it.
i know i should have been more careful, i should have backed up the files, i should have checked the computer terminal before i left; so many should-haves, yet so many did-nots.
the lesson of the day is to never be overdependent on one source. you'll never know where it might just slip away quietly when you are not watching.
i'm going to buy ten thumb-drives tomorrow to stock up at home.
