the photo was taken during the last class of my counselling module, and i felt it ended on a rather sad note because it marked the end of good old schooling days for some of my counterparts who are graduating; and it was the last lecture in the university for the professor as well because he's moving on to another place.
i don't like how some things end at the moment when they've just barely started, and i wish that people never have to say goodbye. but i guess life is like a train that brings us to different places to meet different people. sometimes the train moves slowly, so we get to buy more time at a place with some people. but sometimes, the train leaves before we can prepare ourselves, so we end up not getting a fair share of time with the people we meet. and sometimes, we are lucky and we get to bring our friends on board so they can accompany us along the way. but there are also times when we have to go through the journey alone, because we each have our own destination to go and we must embark on our separate ways. sometimes, it can get pretty dark and scary when the train is going through a tunnel, but if we persevere long enough, we will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel and to breathe the fresh air again.
and when you look out of the window of the train, there will always be things in the far distance that are beyond your imagination, beyond your capacity to comprehend, and beyond your reach.
and you can only watch as it diminishes out of sight.
