do you believe in retribution?
when i was five years old, i wished that the boy who pulled my pony tail would get punished by the power rangers, but he didn't. when i was ten, i wished that the girl who bad-mouthed me to my good friend would end up with no friends, but she blossomed and became a school belle. when i was sixteen, i wished that the senior who always picked on my faults would fall sick, but she always turned up every saturday, strong as a bull, fierce as a lion and loud as a crow. when i was twenty, i wished that the black sheep in my project group would get a "C" grade for the module, but i think she did better than me in the end. last week, i wished that the ah-beng who littered in the train station would get caught by the surveillance camera, but he got away scot-free before many pairs of eyes.
maybe it takes time to happen; or maybe it doesn't happen at all. but in a nutshell, i think what comes around, doesn't always go around, at least not in the short run.
