off to indochina

with less than twenty four hours to my trip, i feel so unprepared!

but nonethless, i did find some time to prepare a list of things i would like to pray for:

1. clear maps, helpful passerbys and good judgment so that i don't lose my way too badly!
2. plain and shabby looks so that no pickpockets or thieves would bother to steal a second glance at me.
3. good hygiene so that i don't get the runs, even after having street food
4. honest merchants and xe om drivers so that i would not be overcharged despite my poor bargaining skills ):
   
5. clean and insect-free guesthouses (nice and friendly hosts would be a plus!! :D)
   
6. calm and cool weather (no storms and floods please!)
   
7. smooth transition from country to country, state to state (no extortion by officials please!)
   
8. leniency at the check-in counters so that they would not force me to check in my backpack (at the extra cost of USD$12-30)
   
9. opportunities for me to contribute to the locals by buying their produce or crafts
10. an absolutely awesome adventure!!

i will be back for christmas, so please don't leave me out in your plans! ): look forward to sharing my second solo voyage in around two weeks' time!
