Competition is repugnant,
Its intentions are malignant
It promotes selfishness,
It can result in deeds that are heinous
It is withholding what one has from others
And loving oneself more than his neighbours
In its premises evil ploys sprout
And to the prideful and greedy it touts
It encompasses the desire to advance one’s self
At the expense of somebody else
But how can one man’s strength be greater than two?
What harm can sharing possibly do?
Is it so bad to be one step behind?
Or have an equal portion to each we assign?
Haven’t you heard this saying in the past,
That the last will be first, and the first last?
So why can’t we promote harmony
Why must we fight over fame and money?
For everything we win we can also lose
When we die, they will be of no use
So cooperation seems the better option,
To love in truth and in action.
