insects seem to have a great affinity with me.
no, seriously. when i was a toddler, a moth once landed on my lips and i was so scared that my lips would rot that i ended up washing my mouth with soap for ten minutes. then in primary school, a cockroach once crawled on me when i was having silent reading (which was part of the curriculum) in the school hall. if thats not enough, a grasshopper jumped on me once in secondary school, when i was standing among hundreds of people. and guess what, i couldnt be luckier when another grasshopper hopped on me again this year. oh, not to forget, in secondary two, a huge unidentifiable flying insect parked on my neck and i screamed so loudly that even the teachers at the staff room heard me cos it was like six-ish in the morning.
of cos, that is not all - my friend spotted a lizard on my shoulder a couple of months back (yes, i know lizard is not an insect! and i have no idea how it got there!) a ladybird refused to budge from my leg today despite my futile attempts to flick it off, and now i have a family of ants hosted inside the CD-R drive of my laptop, much to my disgust. these are just highlights and rest assure that i would have more to share in the future. (:
if i'd liked them better, i think i would make a great entomologist.
