YOU have been a blessing!

new year's eve is the best time to review and reflect on the year that has just passed.

the last year of the decade has been a very pleasant one for me - friendships were renewed, new bonds were forged, familial ties were strengthened, academic aspirations were attained, and many personal goals were accomplished.

when they said the transition from childhood to adolescence was tough, it was a lie. because i think the transition from school to the workforce is way tougher than i imagined, way harder than i was prepared for. sometimes, i still feel as if i have been sent on an eternal exile into an endless desert. but thankfully, my life has not been that dry because of these people, who are like oases where i can make occasional stops at:

• bean - when i need somebody to talk to, or simply to sit in silence with
  
• jingjun - when i need somebody to entertain me, hear my dirty secrets or put up with my nonsense
• laypheng and changnings - when i need someone to cheer me up or cheer me on
• eleen, cheryl, sam and fxk - when i need emotional/ professional support, when i feel like doing something crazy, or i want to be sent on a hysterical laughing spell
• vanessa, hernghuei, weifang, andre, and zhuanghui - when i need warmth, familiarity, and comfort
  

there are many more people whom i have to count my blessings for - janice, yun, aaron, squadmates, 30th, 26th, my honours class, my mentors, my very wonderful colleagues and anyone who has brought a smile to my face this year.

thank you for all things wonderful, thank you for all things beautiful - i pray you would bear with me for the next decade as well. (:
