for some people, their faith may begin like a gushing river, fast furious and forceful, sweeping everything and everyone along with it. after a certain distance, the river loses its velocity and power. it may then start to meander around the bends, putting itself against rocks, banks and other obstacles. some rivers may get cut off along the course, forming an ox-bow lake that is still and heavy with sediments. yet for some, the river continues towards the end of the course, diverging into many small streams. it goes forth with its own share of load, depositing the load over a large delta plain. the delta marks the end of the river, as it eventually reunites with the vast and might ocean.
which section of the river do you hope your faith will be? I hope mine will be deep as a valley, powerful as a waterfall, and far-reaching as a basin.

why me?
when bad things happen, we always complain: "why has all these bad things befall me? what have I done to deserve it? why me?" but when good things come our way, we almost never ask "why has all these good things happened to me? why me?"
do we always take rewards/ blessings/ good things for granted that we don't even realise it when something good has happened to us? or do we think we deserve the good things (but not the bad things) because we only remember the good deeds that we do, but not the bad ones?
sometimes, all it takes is a change of attitude. a humble heart can make a whole lot of difference. (:

I am thankful
I am thankful for the things i do not have, because they give me something to look forward to.
I am thankful for the things i do not know, because they give me the opportunity to learn.
I am thankful for the trials and tribulations, because through them I have grown.
I am thankful for the voices that criticise me, because they spur me to improve myself.
I am thankful for the difficult cases I face at work, because they strengthen my skills and teach me how to be brave.
I am thankful when I feel tired and worn, because it means that I have worked hard enough.
of all the things I am thankful for, I am most thankful for Him, because He brings so many small miracles to my life, if only I choose to open my eyes and see. I am thankful for Him, because He turns my troubles into blessings, if only I choose to be patient. i am thankful for Him, because He is God my Lord, if only I choose to believe. (:

Revival (:
so i died and was born again.
this is probably the miracle i was hoping for, the answer that will save me from myself.
